WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?

Vitara-V 20mg is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor medication, prescribed for erectile dysfunction (impotence). It increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

Vardenafil is the main ingredient in Vitara-V 20mg. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help a man get and keep an erection. It helps response to stimulation.

 

HOW TO USE?

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. PO- Initial- The recommended dose is 10 mg; it should be taken approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity. It may be increased or decreased. Maximum: 20mg.

 

SIDE EFFECTS:

Dizziness. Flushing. Headache. Belly pain. Heartburn. Nose stuffiness. Loss of eyesight.

 

WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?

This drug is taken on an as needed basis. Do not take more often than every 24 hours unless told to do so by your doctor.

 

PRECAUTIONS:

This drug is not for use in women. Tell your doctor if you have an allergy to vardenafil or any other part of this drug. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had including rash, hives, itching, shortness of breath, wheezing, cough, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, or any other signs. If you use drugs like amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite. If you have been told not to have sex by your doctor.

 

WHEN DO I NEED TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP?

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug include wheezing, chest tightness, fever, itching, bad cough, blue or gray skin color, seizures, or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Erection that lasts more than 4 hours. Chest pain or a fast heartbeat. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Sudden change or loss of eyesight. Change in hearing. Any rash. CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?

Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. Taking them together can cause bad side effects. Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.

Avoid Alcohol.

 

HOW TO STORE?

Store it at room temperature (25°C), and in an airtight container.
